Meranda McLaughlin completed a Master’s in Policy Studies from the University of New Brunswick (UNB), focused on sexual harassment and assault among university students. She has spoken to these issues at local, regional and national events.
She is currently the Provincial Volunteer Program Advisor for the Province of New Brunswick’s Victim Services court support program. Prior to this role, she worked for the Maritime Provinces Higher Education Commission as a Policy and Research Analyst.
Meranda is also an active volunteer in her community and a passionate advocate for victims of violence. Her volunteer experience is extensive, including most notably her membership on UNB’s Harassment Policy Review Committee, the Muriel McQueen Fergusson Centre’s research team on the experience of women with disabilities in situations of intimate partner violence, and the Capital Regional Mental Health & Addictions Association Board of Directors.
