Commenting Policy

Academica’s Rethinking Higher Ed Forums are offered as a space for debate, disagreement, and deliberation. While we may not always share the views of our contributors, we believe that the issues they raise—and the perspectives that they offer—are worthy of consideration and discussion.

With that in mind, we welcome and encourage civil debate, in the comments section of each post. We do ask, however, that participants help us maintain a professional and collegial atmosphere, and keep any comments on-topic.

We recognize that some readers may feel that their position precludes them from commenting freely; we offer anonymous commenting so that those readers will be able to offer their opinions as well.

However, we reserve the right to review and moderate all comments posted to the forum so we can ensure these guidelines are met. We will not tolerate personal attacks; obscene, rude, racist, sexist, or offensive language; product promotion; or any information that could be potentially construed as libel. We will also delete any content that contains discussion or links that are unrelated to the topic of discussion.
